Bachelor of Fine Art in Commercial Art at Stephen F. Austin State University, 1988 Master of Science in art with emphasis in drawing at Texas A&M in Commerce, TX, 1992 Since 1992, I have continued to develop my drawing skills by studying other artists and references. The drawings that I currently create are significantly better than anything that I was drawing in 1992. This is due to my persistent practice and study of drawing.
Experience
I have been teaching art for 23 years. I currently teach art at Mathews Elementary for Plano ISD. I have taught private drawing lessons to students for several years. I have a very strong foundation in drawing. Many of my students have received award recognition for their artwork. My students always see improvement in their work after they have completed a few sessions under my supervision.

Hobbies
I have a passion for teaching art, but most especially drawing. I have worked with students of all ages. In my spare time I do like to draw and read. I am very calm, easy-going and patient when working with students. The drawing media that I work with includes graphite, soft pastels, charcoal, pen and ink, and colored pencils. I can teach a variety of drawing themes including portrait, still life, figure drawing, manga, cartooning, anatomy, landscape, perspective, animals, and superheros. Drawing skills that I excel in are shading values, contour line, gesture and composition. Aside from drawing, I am a proud husband and father of five beautiful children.
