Education

I attended Texas Tech University and was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education major, then switched majors to Human Development and Family Studies. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree plan.

Experience

Student Teaching experience in Pre-Kindergarden through 6th grade in all educational block coursework: Math, English, Writing, Reading, United States History, and Science. Extensive study in the Texas TEKS for each grade level, themed lesson plans, group lesson plans, and reaching individual learning with individual one-on-one lesson plans. I believe that tutoring helps the students learn at a better rate for them to understand in easier teachable moments. I currently work with an Eye Level Tutoring Franchise location in North Frisco and tutor up to approximately 6th grade Reading and English.

Hobbies

I am interested in creating learning center activities, themed units about Historical events for each month, computer programming, writing research papers and preparing the research topic materials. I also enjoy hobbies such as outside learning where their environment can be implemented into Science and Math, and United States History. Throughout the years, I have also enjoyed teaching Math through cooking exercises and basic housework duties. I also enjoy doing scavenger hunts and quizzes to test my ability of the coursework and seek after getting other resources to learn the material, for instance outreaching to museums, and Presidential Libraries for extra reading literature.
