Experience
I have been teaching for approximately 15 years at Tennessee State University and A&M University. My expertise is in math. However, I have also tutored several students in the Arabic language. The majority of people I tutor tend to be in 3rd grade up to the 12th grade. I tutor in private settings, one on one, or in small groups. I really do not have a preference, as they both serve different needs. I have a professional teaching style and fit my teaching style into each student's individual needs and level. Education is probably one of the most important aspects of life; therefore, I have a passion for teaching and helping others excel. I particularly find that working with at risk students is the most appealing aspect of my job. I have two B.S. degrees. One is in mathematics, and one is in environmental studies. Both of these degrees have helped me advance far in the tutoring and teaching world. I also attained a master's degree in Math, an educational degree, and my ABD doctorate in education. I am also well rounded and diverse. I have lived in several countries and travel when and if time permits. I love working with people of different cultural backgrounds as I find this to be very educational in itself. I currently offer my tutoring services in both math and in the Arabic language.
